G321-Filming

Filming
Today is the weekend and I have no actual lesson time, however this is the day that Emily and Leo come round to my house to film. They arrived at 9am in the morning as we wanted the whole day to film and so we was not pressured on time. We strangely filmed in the running order of our film and shots in the exact order, this was different to how I have worked before as usually I would have filmed in no specific order and bring the production together after that. I felt that I preferred doing it this way as I had no confusion at what shot was next and it seemed that it was in fact quicker. As well as that we only had 8 hours to film as Emily and Leo was being picked up at 5 pm. The last scene was the most difficult to film in my opinion as I found it very difficult using the camera work techniques of dolly and birds eye view. This was because the shoulder mount that I used did not steady and measure my balance correctly meaning that I had to do it without it; this made it extremely difficult to hold the camera without my hands shaking; however, I did it successfully and the shot ended up even better retrieving it naturally. On Monday I am going to edit my groups opening in the double lesson which will be enough time to edit the whole production I hope s by the end of next week I want to be started my evaluation.
In addition, whilst we was filming I found a impressive and interesting prop, this prop was a dollhouse. I had the idea of using it in the scene where the conspiracy room is shown the reason I thought it would be an amazing extra object it would also make the audience feel disgusted and shocked at his actions towards the house itself.

Editing
In todays lesson after starting and finishing our filming on the Saturday on the weekend, the last thing to do was editing. We had a double lesson and whilst Emily was sorting out her blog; me and Leo started to edit. Furthermore, we edited on I-movie as we was both very comfortable in knowing how to work it. Our shots we took were brilliant and we didn't actually have to retake any scenes meaning that all of our props and setting could be taken down. The reason I did not take them down after we had finished on the Saturday was incase we missed out on any shots that was important and that we may have forgotten about.
Overall I was the editing individual that brought our film together; the reason for this was because I actually have experience with editing as I did media at GCSE and received high grades.
